Origin of name?

So, this is perhaps a strange question but, why have you chosen the name Pavonis?
Originally when I first heard the name I had a chuckle, because it's very close to the word for peacock in my language and I wondered "Do they know? Probably not, that's amusing".
Then I finally saw your logo and I realized, yes you quite definitely know, now i'm really curious as to the choice for your company name

We named it after the constellation, which itself is Latin for peacock, because 1) I'm a space nut; 2) it sounds cool and evocative and 3) out of the nine million game studios out there, no one was using this name or anything like it that we could find.

That rang a bell, after a quick check i found what Pavonis meant to me.
In Starcontrol 2 you had at some point a mission to "Alpha Pavonis"
