Alien alert monitor suggestion.

First of all, thanks for creating this awesome game!
A small suggestions about the the latest version.
The Alien alert monitor is always visible on the main screen.
Could this please be optional?
Or at least some way to hide it once you are at total war already as it's pretty much not needed anymore then and for me it's an distraction to be honest.
