The new pursuit rule is that you can no longer do pincer attacks, but your fleet will either
1) split off faster ships to pursue, or
2) split into groups that will englobe the enemy (i am pretty sure the word is englobe)
I have never seen option 1, and despite having better acceleration than the Aay fleet i always get option 2 with 1 random escort or destroyer being able to engage, which i isually dont take because its a bad outcome for me.
My question is, has anyone seen option1? What are the rules for getting option 1?
Admittedly i have sacrificed deltaV in favor of acceleration so that i have superior acceleration but that does not seem enough to force an engagement.

Changes to Pincer attack
Richard Baxton held off four waves of mind worms. We immediately purchased his identity manifests and repackaged him into the Recon Rover Rick character. People need heroes. They don't need to know he died clawing his eyes out, screaming for mercy.

Ah. Might be my bad. I was comparing cruise accelerations.
I see the combat screen compares combat accelerations, and i am still behind the Aays on that score.
