lowest texture quality, 1080p 60 hz, vsync full screen confine to cursor and texture streaming enabled.

disabling/enabling texture streaming did not seem to affect ram usage.

game runs fine but it stutters at key moments such as beginning of turn or start of combat stage. i only noticed ram usage during a particularly long end of phase and alt tabbed to task manager.

What is your game version?
What is the campaign status? Would need solar system size, number of factions, current year?
Does this appear after a long session or immediately on load?
Does this go away on restarting the application?

campaign started on update 3.78, now at 3.80. first campaign in several month. changed between low and high textures, no significant change.

full system and factions, playing as exodus year 39-40. brutal difficulty, everything else is default. new alien ai is winning and I'm lost on what to do.

it happens right away on loading save file. game restarts don't matter.

reinstalled on main drive and restarted with an earlier save, ram reduced to 9 gb but has slowly crept to 16 again. end turn/combat phase delay was much faster but is now slower as well.

Thanks. There's a significant issue in .80 where logs are being retained and not cleaned up, leading to large save games and some bloat in memory. Can't promise that's what's up here but it's possible. (We had a 2080s campaign with 212,000 bombardment log entries, which is like 5 novels worth of text)
