Not really sure if this is a bug, but it does kinda seem odd the Mag Sawed-Off is in Advanced Coilguns, rather than Advanced Mag Weapons, given it's, you know, called a Mag Shorty and not a Coil Shorty.

Either needs a name change to reflect this, or just to be moved to the proper research (after all, most of the other Mag tier Sidearms unlock with Standard or Advenced Mag weapons, Arc Blade, Mag Pistol, the Upgraded Combat Knife, etc. ).

Might be a bug, but the ONLY sidearm that unlocks with mag is the mag pistol. The rest come from various autopsies, like stun lancer for arc blade etc.

yeah, but my point is usually by the time you have Advanced mag weapons, everything but the Mag Shorty is unlocked...and given the name.. it does still kinda seem it was supposed to be with Advanced mag weapons, like the Shard Gun is, since i'm thinking it's essentially a sawed-off Shard Gun.

But it is a coil-type weapon since it's blue and smooth instead of white and blocky.

they should probably rename it to a "Coil Shorty" then. or maybe a "Coilbuss" or "Blundercoil", or something else suitably "Coil-ey" and Short-shotty-ey it just kinda screws with ya having it randomly be "Mag" when almost everything else in that tier has Coil somewhere in it, and the previous one was all Mag. hmmm...

"Coilshotty" might work.
