So I just started a "protect the datatap" mission and my squad was spawned right next to the tap, as were all the enemies. So now im surrounded without cover (on a roof) against 3 large pods that got immediatly activated before i could even move. Is this intendetd behavior?

Map is very small, not using any map mods.

Everything spawning next to the tap sounds like a map error. Do you have a saved game from this mission you could provide us to investigate?
