I restarted my campaign after a few months after learning more about the changes, just reached the Lost Towers DLC Spark mission again. Both times, I've encountered a lone ADVENT Trooper in the first area, among all the Derelict MECs. I assume this is a bug (might even be a vanilla one, can't remember), because Julian mentions aggressively killing all the ADVENT. Doesn't make much sense for him to tolerate a single schmuck for all these years, since.

Our pod rewriting code got a little aggressive. Fixed for 1.1.

I actually encountered this too but didn't think anything of it!

Pretty sure that lone grunt was the only enemy in entire tower to drop loots, figured that might be why.

Was it intended for Shen to have infinite combat protocol on this mission.?

I assume it's a bug/oversight, but it does fit the narrative a little because she's your lead engineer and has some kind of special bond with her gremlin.

Shen has her own special versions of Combat Protocol and Capacitor Discharge which function on a cooldown - if you can use it turn after turn without stopping then that's a bug, but it is otherwise intentional that she can keep using them all mission. (It worked that way in vanilla too)
