"Rescue Resistance Contacts" didn't give me my soldier back

1) LW v 1.0
2) Windows 10
3)Mods: Some of the approved UI mods, and some customization stuff. No gameplay changes.
4)Bug details: Doing a Rescue mission, reward includes a captured Assault and 3 Resistance Rebels. Sneak through, get to the cells, hack them, and the rebels go active. Can't select the captured assault, though I can see her standing there with her invisible gun. Finished the mission hoping that either I'd be able to move her or that she'd still be given as a reward, but no dice. After Action Report says "VIP Lost" with regards to that soldier.
5) I have a savegame from several turns before hacking the doors.
