I just picked LW2 up again and I'm still amazed how good this mod is. So if the LWotC devs want to achieve at least the same level of greatness, they certainly have their work cut out for them. Can't play WotC, it's just too boring despite all the new candies, bug fixes and engine optimization.

Chosen are cool but I personally think they don't belong in LW2. The expansion focuses a lot (too much?) on the narrative aspect of the game while LW2 is more like a sand box game where your make your own stories. Thanks for your hard work Pavonis. For me, LW2 is kind of a perfect blend between two of my favorite genres: rogue-like and tactical. I'll be sure to follow your next project and wish you good luck in your endeavors.

The same bug happened to me where a revived shinobi retained his full movement. But there was no mind control involved, he just took a nice crit through high cover.

Missions not being stealth mandatory anymore is the biggest improvement in my book. I did one mission with two shinobis yesterday but I did it because I chose to and because I felt it was worth the risk. The other issue aside the instant death of grabbed soldiers is that there's no cooldown on the ability. A single viper could get your entire squad wiped out if it wants it and gets lucky.

Since Revival Protocol will always be the strongest choice, why not make it a basic specialist ability? So the perk could be easily changed to "reduce Revival Protocol 's cooldown" or "Revival Protocol gains x charges".

Recruitment raid was the mission that made me drop my last campaign, especially after a viper grabbed three of my soldiers in a row. Squads are a wonderful thing... in theory. In reality, they require too much micromanagement to shine as a QOL feature. Sorry but I have to disagree with you people. LW2 doesn't pull any punches on the player but the majority of the mechanics are fair.
