Rendezvous are kinda like your regular GOps mission in that they spawn in the region and you need points to reveal it, but instead of the mission needing intel points from your rebels, it uses points generated by the soldier advisor. The higher the ranks of your advisor, the more points they generat...

On a related note, you really shouldn't have deployed that Engineer if the region wasn't liberated.

Yes, it's not uncommon that one of the pods contain a faceless, and I've also encountered a pod consistent of all faceless and had to fight 5 at a time. I think it becomes rather common mid-late game. Having the Greater Faceless DE makes finding roaming (mk2) faceless more likely.

Must stop if able: Infestation (Chryssalids), Alien Infiltrator (Faceless), Rapid Response (faster Reinforcements).

Vigilance used to be killer on 1.2, but ever since the stealth nerf I've been opening on the first pod and now I don't care. Show of Force is also pretty annoying but manageable.

Even if my Sharpshooter comes with abysmal aim, I still take DFA. With the other aim bonuses (Damn Good Ground and Lone Wolf), plus a Scope and Stock and the rank bonuses you'll eventually get enough aim to get good odds vs most things. Or at least good enough to Double Tap the big-bads in the open....

- Technicals (missions are too long). Although if said 8-man mission is a troop column then they turn very valuable.

Try setting all the rebels to work on regions with very high strenght. That should do it. Retals get harder the higher the strenght tho. Mybe you expanded a lot and it's taking a long time to fill the buckets.

It always seems like you don't have enough early game and you're always wondering if you want to deploy one of your few shinobis on a mission and then get annoyed when a Smash and Grab or Extract VIP pops up and you got no shinobi to scout ahead.

Don't get me wrong, I grab EXO everytime, just right after I make my Sharpshooters, Rangers, OW Specialists, Assaults and Gunners relevant, which doesn't take a lot of time, or resources, say 200S and a minimal amount of elerium and alloys. After that I try to grab 2 extra EXOs (so 3 plus the SPARK)...

Or you know, dedicate yourself to weapon techs instead and now ALL the barracks can fight. You don't even need to get everyone an up to date gun, you're fine with half of your people getting Lasers, then the other half waiting up to Magnetics and so on.

The evac is fixed to the spawn point, so you have to go aaaaall the way to the vial and then aaaaaall the way back. Also I think RNF start dropping as soon as you grab the vial, regardless of the RNF timer, but you get plenty of turns to kill everything before you grab the vial, if you aren't OW lea...

One problem with Combat Awareness is that it assumes that you don't have anything better to do than to end a turn overwatching.
