Agreed on the difficulty being a bit out of hand, at Vet/Ir level at least. Not all of them, Jacke. I've had some on maps that haven't turned into Faceless, more than once I think. This one was next to the two agents put didn't turn until the last Advent died. That squishy noise they make sure got my attention!

Yeah, she was just passing through while usual advisor was officer training. There are lots of pretty good soldier advisors: weak aim flamer technicals with mobility work fine, OW gunners, etc. Still, I shudder when I see a lousy SMG in the loading screen.

Hmm, the Rendezvous missions are a good addition: experience, corpses, drops, variety, kinda fun, etc. They seem to scale surprisingly quickly in terms of Faceless, even at Vet/Ironman level. I'm afraid that your update didn't fix it. Perhaps it's not retroactive? I've got a HQ assault infiltrating now, so will see if liberating region makes it pop.

Ah, interesting, I'll check after work. It's entirely possible it is still on there: in my eagerness to start a new 1.3 campaign I forgot to uncheck a bunch of mods I was checking out in the dog days of 1.2. Thanks for the suggestion and for all your excellent mod work!

I'm in same boat. Five regions contacted, second one showing HQ assault mission but no radio tower gained. Is their a console command I can use to get the continent bonus and tower?

In first 1.3 run I just did a second tower mission on same continent as starting region (which is liberated) and noticed that the continent bonus for having a second tower didn't pop. Pause on spotting a pod
Is there an ini adjustment I can make to reduce the overly long pause on spotting a pod? I looked around in the base game configs but didn't see anything obvious and didn't want to adjust anything willy-nilly. A thousand hours in and I'm getting weary of that break in momentum... It's a nuisance now...

I'm enjoying 1.3 quite a lot, just as I enjoyed the previous versions too in their own way. I'm not too far into new campaign, but it does seem that the enemy is "smarter" now at tactical level, the cumulative effect of the various changes. A bit more challenging at least on an individual ...

I see on Steam there is a mod that allows you to set haven personnel (in liberated zones only) to "find facility" research. I've not tried it, but perhaps that would help you?

Ah, ok, thanks! I figured it was something along those lines. I didn't see any results since I have no staff in my first one due to a failed resistance event. You'd need the supplies anyway to advance the story missions, I figured.

Good advice. I had a map with lots of buildings down the middle and on opposite side. After first three pods downed from starting position using shinobi/sniper, there were a few tense moments when you don't quite know where baddies are when you climb onto a roof even with a concealed scout. After leaving it a little long trying to reduce Str 12 with missions in other regions, to no effect, I finished my first HQ attack and really enjoyed it. Completely agree on your UI change suggestions - implement them please! Just a quickie on rangers, though probably obvious to everyone: the PCS that gives +10 aim on second shot pairs nicely with ranger, particularly in early game with relatively low aim and limited scopes.
