Re: Soldier Abilities Options Missing
Sounds like it's pulling the old/vanilla classes. I recommend purging your config files and rebuilding them before doing anything else. As for fixing the broken soldiers -- when using MakeSoldierAClass you want to prefix the classname with "LWS_" to get the 'enhanced' version. Valid classe...

I'd suggest picking up Cost-Based Ability Colours instead. It incorporates the same tweak as Free Reload and is LW2-compatible now.

Re: Teleporting reinforcements and armored drones
2) Twice now, i have had a reinforcement pack teleport on top of me, no warning about reinforcements coming, and no animation of a dropship. I suspect this is a Bug. If you're playing on any difficulty above Rookie, you won't see the arrival flares. This is to make it harder to predict where they w...

Re: Research, AWC Healing and GTS training all permanently paused after Operation Last Gift
Metal over Flesh was also recently updated for at least partial LW2 support. That said, many of those surely do conflict - Partial Mission Completion is effectively baked into LW2 by default, for instance. The Lab changes are probably unnecessary at-minimum (since LW2 buffs the Lab room already), di...

Re: Line of Play
I've only played a few missions, but I've noticed the AI camping the objective when it's somehing like a data vault or prisoners. If you spawn on a big map, you can spend three or four turns running with no contact, so the AI is definitely not just intercepting you on the line anymore. It seems to ...

Re: Difficulty Comparisons
Thusfar, LW2 has remained more 'consistently' and 'fairly' challenging, in my experience. I've had some tough situations, but the expanded tools at my disposal + some careful planning means that the missions I've considered winnable have been winnable through a little strategizing. Though this may j...

Re: I'm overwhelmed!
Still an odd thought there isn't missions to ensure the successful delivery, or at least guards making sure these supplies make it to the avenger. You mean assigning soldiers to havens to root out possible infiltrators? Hang on a sec... Aside from that, you don't want too many guards - it'll draw t...

Re: I'm overwhelmed!
These numbers don't match my experience though. Before I put soldiers in havens, I was getting dinged -89$ from faceless. After I put 3 soldiers, I caught one faceless and the next time I was "only" dinged -69. Was that 20 worth the 3 soldiers + 15 monthly upkeep? It isn't rocket science....

Extremely Light is the lowest activity level, and I believe Readiness reflects maximum possible activity level vs current activity level.

Re: I'm overwhelmed!
My question, how are faceless stealing 75% of your supplies without being noticed? This change just seems... Silly and unrealistic lol. They don't necessarily have to be 'stealing' it directly. Let's say Joe Bob and Jim Frank take their truck and drive some boxes of stolen ADVENT Burgers from Camp ...

Re: I'm overwhelmed!
Thanks for the tips, they are helpful. More questions about faceless: 1) how do you know for sure that all the faceless are gone from a given region? Recently I've dedicated officer soldiers to havens but I don't know how long I need to keep them there, it's quite the investment of troops and suppl...

Re: Can the back wall of jail be blasted open?
Fire is the most reliable method. It seems to burn though anything given time. When I've grenaded prison cells it has always been the fires that actually did the trick. Yes but then you need to worry about setting the VIP on fire and waiting however long it takes to burn through. :P ~~~~ Jails are ...

Re: Speed and general suggestions
Once you're breaking into the higher armour tiers, the Skeleton Suit also adds +1 mobility and gives the user that long-range grapple ability. Compared to the Predator it's only +1 HP (vs the Predator's +3) but also gives +10 Dodge.

Re: I'm overwhelmed!
I feel like the faceless mechanic is a little bit over the top. I'm extremely supply locked - I'm up to June and haven't been able to afford a single weapon or armor upgrade for any of my troops. The only supplies I get are from excavating the Avenger and those go straight into critical buildings a...

Re: Spending Intel on Infiltration
Evac timers are the big reason to go over 100% infil - 150% and 190% reduce them by 1 each (200% for the second one after 1.1 patch). You also get smaller detection radii and less enemies, though the enemy count doesn't decrease as fast as it does before 100%. 200% is the max. No benefits beyond th...

Re: Shinobi // SMG?
When you're using an SMG, it's not your primary damage dealer. Instead you're going to be wanting to use Slash and Fleche as much as possible. See, the thing about SMGs as others rightly point out is that they give +3 mobility. Fleche deals more damage the more ground you cover. It's something like ...

Re: LW Basics: Use Intel Acceleration!
Are you sure rushing research isn't from a different mod? That's not a mechanic in LW2... Not that I know of, anyway. LW2 market should deal all in supplies. As warbrand points out, it's a vanilla mechanic. It's pretty expensive intelwise but it can occasionally be worth it if you need to speed up ...

Re: LW Basics: Use Intel Acceleration!
I've seen five uses for intel so far barring that one plot use right near the end in vanilla; Research. Certain topics flat-out require Intel to start, like Resistance Radio. Rushing Research at the Black Market: You can burn a chunk of it at the BM to halve time on a topic as in vanilla- most BM pu...

That looks like an exciting error. I recommend verifying your game files in Steam (right click game title -> Properties -> Local Files tab -> Verify Integrity of Game Files button) before doing anything else, then. If the launcher/game still produces errors after that, the alternative mod launcher m...

LW Basics: Use Intel Acceleration!
No, I don't mean your CPU. ;) Chances are if you're running a lot of small missions early on you're going to build up a nice pile of Intel to spend. Now you can spend this at the Black Market for rushing tech, sure, but there's another use for it. Boosting Infiltration . This extremely simple yes-or...

Re: How have status effects changed?
To add to my earlier discovery, Disorient also shuts down ongoing effects - similar to how shooting an enemy on Overwatch breaks their Overwatch. So far, I've seen it break Mind Control and Psi Zombies. Flashbangs: always relevant. Although it can also be inflicted by the Arc Thrower even on a miss ...
