Re: Rockets vs. Grenades
tbh! I've found Sapper grenadiers to be extremely underwhelming. Sapper alone doesn't seem to be all that reliable at destroying cover early on! It's alright at destroying a decent amount of half cover environments! But most full cover remains even when I use 2 grenades on said cover! Which is the k...

Re: [Suggestion] Switch the AP-costs of picking up and putting down when carrying
I do agree with you first point about realism! Hard to argue against picking someone up is harder than putting someone down... But for your balance argument first; Currently, if you decide to pick someone up you can do that for free and start running. Not fun, as there is no movement cost involved w...

Question about detecting Infiltrators
So do I need some Rebel's on "intel" in a region where I suspect (or know for certain  ) to detect faceless! Or will a high ranking soldier liaison be enough to spot them?? I guess what I'm really asking is does the "intel" job have any effect / increase chance of detecting...

Re: kinda bullshit
I played a lot of LW1 and never encountered enemies having ridiculous hits like this, and it's happening often enough to not feel like RNG. It just feels like I'm getting shit on. Not fun. You mean you never encountered a full Outsider pod?? With a Captain or commander in LW1?!?! Those @$$hats have...

Re: Hiding is useless
From what I recall on my on-and-off browsing of the code, advent allocates and diverts advent strength based on a hidden "vigilance" value in each haven. Vigilance is increased per successful mission. Some types of missions increase it more than others (especially get advent's attention m...

Re: Hiding is useless
@Deaconivory All of this sounds great on paper!! But it's just that it doesn't seem to be happening this way. Did you read my example?? I discovered the Network tower 3 weeks ago (campaign time of course) and the Advent strength was 6 then, Set a great deal of my guys to hiding and a few more on int...

Re: Liberation Cycle.. revealed
What I thought so far after reading multiple threads was that: -Liberation 1 MUST have the "find a lead". The lead can then reveal something to scan in the map for some reward (supplies, engineer, rookies...), or nothing. When you get nothing you are on the right track as it means "L...

Re: Hiding is useless
YOu know, I actually do agree with this somewhat! I wouldn't mind one of the devs opinion on this matter on what the intended effect "hiding" is supposed to have on the game. The way I attempted to use it in my game: In one of my regions I just got access to the Regional Network tower, but...

Re: Liberation Cycle.. revealed
Could you go into more detail? Thank you! For players who don't want the whole Liberation cycle completely spoiled Stop reading this reply (well, also you shouldn't have even clicked the topic to begin with). Anyways, onwards!! Liberating a Region is a chain of 5 missions! a Play tester / youtuber ...

Re: How do I free regions?
Well, I myself didn't really consider this a spoiler tbh! It's not like it spoils the story or anything. But I had someone on the Steam forums get mad at me for giving away the specifics on how to accomplish the liberation. I guess because he wanted to figure it out for himself and felt that I gave ...

Re: How do I free regions?
Not sure if you want an in detail/spoiler description or not, let me know if ya do. But for now I'll start with the basics on how to liberate regions. Liberating a region is a chain of missions you need to do, and it'll take a while and a concise effort to accomplish this. Just keep scanning and tak...

Re: Trigger haven faceless missions faster
What I wanna know is why I can't chuck a sensor ball at any new recruits to make sure they aren't faceless. Haha!! That's an excellent point (and hilarious  ) Next time I'm on a Jailbreak to free some of these guys I now have a morbid curiosity to see if this works! It really should too, not s...

Re: Long War 2 feature announce: New mission types
Well, considering that there are several billion humans, I imagine that in any region they have a massive manpower advantage. Story elements aside though, is this really an issue? Would you rather have a more complex, and challenging strategy layer or have the PI team nitpick every change to death ...
