The backgrounds are different. The flashbang has a big flash and the smoke has a cloud of smoke....
It's not the most contrasty treatment in the world, but I have never had an issue telling them apart.

There was at least a winking implication that it can, yeah.

Re: [QoL Suggestion] Not-Faceless-Marker
I don't think so. I think after a rendezvous, all faceless that were set to be revealed on that rendezvous are removed from the haven. I was under the impression that it was possible for additional haven members (including those in your combat party) to be unrevealed faceless. I might have read too ...

Yes, I have seen that on Spark as well. Pretty sure I have not ended my Run and Gun turn early with an Assault ever, though, so no comment on that one.

Re: Was Flamethrower Range Nerfed as well in 1.1?
No, it has not hit them (ended up flanked by an un-deterred, full-health Muton, so it was a bummer).
I don't have a save, but I will run someone in harm's way and see what I can do this weekend.

So that means no pulling people out of training for that mission, I take it.

Re: Area Suppression Q?
You have to have sufficient ammo. It takes 3 ammunition to begin the suppression, but each reaction shot takes an additional point of ammunition. So if you have 5 ammo when you area suppress 3 guys: 3 ammo goes away to start the suppression you shoot at the first runner you shoot at the second runne...

Well, you can definitely mouse-wheel up and down to adjust your aim. They added a more-obviously-3d target highlight to help indicate that.

Re: Was Flamethrower Range Nerfed as well in 1.1?
So are you guys able to target adjacent targets around cover? Like, I am on the south face of a full cover and flanking someone on the west face of the same cover. My flamethrower skips right over him to the square behind him. Has happened repeatedly.

Re: Pending Changelist for 1.1 (NOT RELEASED)
Yes, that is the mod. I'm that guy posting about the kevlar arms would be great if they put that in the game as well, just a thought but thanks for a quick response. Oh, I get it. I thought you were just saying, "It would be great if there were symmetrical arms." They have said repeatedly...

Re: Pending Changelist for 1.1 (NOT RELEASED)
Can you add symmetrical versions of all the kevlar arm options, so each arm has the option of NOT having the shields on the shoulders. The option of having them OR not having them on BOTH shoulders. Thanks for asking for fan input. I believe you are looking for this: https://steamcommunity.com/work...

Also, it goes without saying that this whole thing sounds great. Every one of those bullet points, I'm like, "Yeah, of course that's how it should work." Very much looking forward to playing.

Re: Changes to the tactical layer
I believe you mentioned yesterday that there are still pistol-focused skills. Which class(es?) has that focus available? I was always annoyed in the base game that my Gunslinger couldn't equip an SMG to not hamper his movement, so I'm hoping it's not the sharpshooter...

Ha! Does that mean you have to destroy n drops in order to build the same thing yourself? That would be amusingly brutal.johnnylump wrote:...weapon mods can be built in the PG if you reverse-engineer enough of the same type.

Re: Long War 2 feature announce: Strategy layer changes
Sounds like exactly the kind of changes people would hope for. I am curious whether the bones of the design are from your team or to what extent these were cut features from the Firaxis team. Since 2k commissioned the mod this time around, did you have carte blanche to do your thing (possibly with t...
