Yep, the aiming angles settings have been removed from vanilla. I believe you can get it back from going into LW2's XComGameCore.ini and removing the relevant lines, or changing it to ones you desire. Search for "HIGH_COVER" and it should be a few lines down. Perhaps someone from the team...

So, I started up my first LW2 campaign yesterday, and quickly realized that even when I was only 1 tile away from flanking an enemy I was getting zero bonus to hit chance. Are Aiming Angles not a thing in LW2? Even vanilla XCOM 2 had a reduced version of the system, which was something at least, alt...

Well, considering that there are several billion humans, I imagine that in any region they have a massive manpower advantage. Story elements aside though, is this really an issue? Would you rather have a more complex, and challenging strategy layer or have the PI team nitpick every change to death ...

According to the video, low cover provide 30% defense, and high cover provide 45% now. :shock: Does high ground defense change as well? I saw the playthrough video, XCOM shooted a Drone. Really liking the sound of the hit chance changes, seems like it will make things less absolute. Not sure how to feel about the crazy damage range on the shotgun though... seems like that might make it too unreliable to use. Between that and the range nerfs I don't know what incentive there would be...

Loving all the LW2 news so far, but yeah, Technical really is a pretty weird name for the class. Seems like something like "Heavy" would've made more sense.
