Consistent CTDs

Hi there, I browsed through all of the threads here and basically every thread I could find anywhere but haven't been able to find a fix. As a preface I'll say that I've tried everything in the troubleshooting guide and I've tried upgrading my graphics drivers and basically everything under the sun that I could think of but I continue to have the same problem.

So anyway, what happens is if I boot up my comp and go to play long war it'll open up just fine and play for roughly 10-15 minutes before I get a CTD at which point it will bring up the launch window where I can choose between EU and EW. If I attempt to launch the game again the screen will flash black before having another CTD. At this point I am no longer able to get into the game and it will just continually CTD if I try to start it until I've rebooted my whole computer. It's worth noting that there is no == critical failure == line in the launch logs during any of these attempts at launching the game.

I know it's something to do with LW because I've verified and vanilla EW runs fine. If there's anything you guys could think of that might be causing this I'd love to hear it.

Alright I know it's been a long time since I posted this and no one is really going to need this fix since it was a weird extraneous thing but ill post it anyway. So as a little background information my current computer is a combination of new parts and old stuff from an alienware computer that id bought a number of years ago. Said alienware computer had case fx or in other words it would change led colors on the case when playing certain games, xcom was one of those games. Once I frankensteined my comp into what it is now it still had the software for the case lighting. So when I went in to my crash logs after the game had crashed i kept seeing things referring to alienware software and how it wasn't able to read some kind of tab character in code or whatever (which is why it would crash xcom every time it tried to run the software) but that's what led me to suspect the alienware software as the cause. I ended up just deleting all the software that was installed for it and the game ended up running perfectly. Kind of a weird case and one that i doubt anyone else will end up having but Im putting the solution here anyway in the chance someone needs it because man has this been bugging me for a long time. Cheers.
