Hey Guys,
I know you probably get tons of requests, but here's one more. One of my favorite games of all time was Mech Commander 2. If you've never played it, it was a campaign based RTS based on the Battle Tech science fiction novels (which were also pretty good). Basically you assemble your squad, and go kick ass. However, each mission has a weight limit, so you can either take the one Heavy Mech, OR a Medium and a Light, and so on. Your pilots have differing skill sets, that you select as they advance in rank (what weight class do they pilot the best, what weapons are they most proficient with, etc.) Mech loadouts are configurable but choose wisely. If that devastating Heavy autocannon is your weapon of choice, the rest of your loadout better be armor because you're gonna have to get in close. In short, it was not unlike X-Com.
Anyway, Microprose is deceased. There was supposedly another group going to resurrect it under the name Battle Tech, but I guess they spent their kickstarter dough on weed or something, because nothing has ever happened.
Any chance you guys could look at it? Pretty please!
Help me Obi Wan

Re: Mech Commander
The KS game is still in the works and it looks like it should be out pretty soon:

Harebrained Schemes is actually a pretty good indie dev. Check out their Shadowrun series, which are story-driven RPGs with turn-based tactical combat that I could sum up as XCOM-lite.
I've got a lot of hope that they'll pull it off with this game, but keep in mind that it's going to be turn-based, not real-time like the old MechCommander games.
