Changing weapon fx colour?

Post by Schweineschnute »

Just a quick thought. The beam lasers, gauss weapons and pulse lasers are all red. While I really like the new Gauss effect, is it possible to change the gauss weapon effect to blue so it is more in-line with the rail gun fx?

Simply asking wether this is maybe simply a hue value that can be changed via a hex editor or anything. Pulse lasers in blue or green would look awesome as well.

We never figured out how to do something like that.

A pity, really :( But thanks for your reply :)

But didn't you add the Gauss-fx? I can't remember it being in vanilla EU/EW?

The Gauss FX was the Reaper Ammo FX, which we recoded to apply to Gauss weapons instead.

I see, thank you. I never used reaper ammo so I probably never noticed that :D

So it's probably also not possible to swap weapon animations around? Like adding the rail gun fx to a gauss/assault riffle?

With XCOM2 tools we could do it easily, I think, but I don't know how to do it for EU/EW.
