Space combat = crash and savefile "destroyed"

Don't know if this is the right place to report a bug, please tell me where I can find it, if it isn't.
Had space combat, 1,5k vs 450 (aliens). Auto resolve did lose it all the time, not even one enemy destroyed, what a fine AI ...
When I took over, I did win and got a crash right after the battle. After that the save file "combat autosave" is corrupted. Trying to load it will end in a crash.
And wtf is this with "attachments 2MB". I can't add the save file because it has 2368KB
