Psi Operatives promotion screen

I am not sure if this is supposed to work like this but when I train a psi operative and go check their abilities, it automatically goes to the normal promotion screen (the one with two ability trees) instead of the new one from WotC.
The abilities still show up in the menu where you can choose to customize, upgrade weapons, choose loadout, etc and they work fine in the missions and I am able to level up the psi ops without issue, it's just been a bit strange to see and I wanted to know if it was a problem on my end, if it's supposed to work like that or just some strange bug that I happened to find.
