Thank you for this! I checked out the mod folder yesterday and was a little overwhelmed by all the .ini's when I wanted to do a couple tweaks.

Yes, the ability to create brand new config files and variables let us run a bit amok compared to LW1. But at least things are a bit more organized and better named! :D

Is there anything I can do if I don't have the AWC yet?

Adding the words "retrain" and "retraining" so that someone looking for this subject will find this thread. Noobs like me don't know the word "respec".

Hah, you did indeed help me find this file!

However, it looks like the values for default respec times are out of date. The values should be...

Classic: 4
Impossible: 5

For the life of me, I can't get this to work.

I have everything set as mentioned above, but no dice. Retraining a soldier still takes multiple days.

I tried editing every version of this file I could find, didn't help. I 'regenerated' all the inis in \My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config by deleting them, didn't help. The XComGameData.ini in that folder even has zeroes set properly. I even deleted all the XComGameData.ini files I could find and ran the game, it loaded up fine (what?).

It seems like it isn't pulling the numbers from that file, or something. Any suggestions?
