Character Pool sound bug?

Character Pool sound bug?

Hi,

I recently installed Long War 2, with only the other mods xwynns recommended on reddit (some QoL stuff, mostly). In the Character Pool, when I set a character class to be a Specialist, the Gremlin hover sound starts and doesn't go away even if I switch the class again or go to the main menu. Can someone else reproduce this bug?

JC Lewis had elevated this to our attention, and it's on my priority list to fix, hopefully I'll figure it out for the next patch.

Update on this :

The issue is that the Gremlin_Idle akEvent (a looping sound) plays whenever the HQIdle AnimSequence plays. That is, viewing in either Avenger or in Character Pool. The way looping audiokinetic sounds events appear to work is that they play until some other akEvent makes them stop. However, in this case there is nothing that makes them stop when navigating around in the Armory/Barracks or in the CharacterPool.

The sounds are halted in the following two cases :
1) For character pool, loading a save will stop the Gremlin_Idle sound
2) For Armory, exiting out of the Armory the Avenger antfarm view will cancel it (it does for me). JC Lewis has informed me that this sound halting gets broken with the InstantAvengerMenus mod, however.

I had a feeling it was one of those mods but I have a workaround. If you go to the Commander's Quarters, then go to Archives and back out of that menu, it ends the sound looping.

I'm going to keep this on the elevated list, but am not going to try and push it into the 1.1 patch. Will have a look at it again after that.
