Alien Groups all spawn in one area and dont move

It seems like this only is happening on fixed extractions where all the alien groups spawn around the extraction point and seemingly dont move so that i get all the way to the extraction point and run into 3 or 4 groups all at once. Im not sure if this is a bug or part of the stupid extraction mechanics
