Possible buggy cover spots

Post by sacho »

There was a discussion in another thread about buggy cover spots, especially cars. Let's catalogue some here if they're fixable, if not, at least they can serve as a warning to other players!

From the previous thread we can classify the bugged cover in the following manner:

No Shield - the terrain looks like it should have cover, but there is no cover shield when hovering over it.
Flanked Shield - the terrain looks like it should have cover, hovering over it produces a cover shield, but it will be a red flanked shield if you have enemies to shoot at you. This one is insidious because if you don't have active enemies, you could just think that it is regular cover.

To limit the interaction between other bugs(going through doors etc) I always ttc the trooper away and back into place to confirm that the cover still retains the same qualities.

Here's my first one. This is on the map with the two houses and a swimming pool between them(anyone know how to get the map name?). This is a Flanked Shield No Cover type.

Advent Trooper takes a 36% shot: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =935883042
Trooper has 45 aim when flashbanged: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =935883079
Deaconivory has 9 defense and is outside of close-range bonuses: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =935883066

One odd thing about this particular shot was that the trooper only had 12% chance to crit, and Deaconivory has -6 dodge.

Ah, the infamous Van of Death. That vehicle has killed more people than the Ford Pinto. Unsafe at Any Level of Fire.
