I'm not sure if this is a bug. Could it be a trap mission? The thing is this was a mission in my first month in a region with 2 advent strength. Mission was 104% infiltrated and at a baseline alien activity of very light. I was under the impression trap missions could only happen when advent strength was higher.
This is on impossible ironman if that could make a difference. I am not using any other mod that messes around with enemy schedules.

RNFs? RNFs do not count against the enemy activity counter. So you would have had 10-12 enemies on the map at start, and the rest would have dropped in, i assume.

Sounds like you got 2 drops of RNFs? Once the timer hits 0 on SnG you get the red reinforcement warning that RNFs start next turn, then they drop every turn after that.
