I play with Hidden Potential but it didn't occur to me that this could really play havoc with the +40 Hacking bonus that SQ Specialists get until I just finished training a couple of them.

One of my SQ Specialists rolled well and is sitting at 68 Hacking. The other SQ Specialist didn't roll so well and is sitting at 25 Hacking.

What the heck do I do with a Specialist with 25 Hacking!?

Could someone explain to me how these "enrage timers" and "turn softcap" mechanics work? I've never seen them occur, and frankly, I hope I never have to considering I play on Ironman.

Like I couldn't get past the first raised building on the left, because there was a solid wall of 3 pods with no way past.
What advent strength were you at? When I have a fully specced stealth shinobi (ghostwalker/covert, which doesn't require max rank), there's always a way to sneak past even if you have to wait for the patrols to shift a little bit. I have run into trouble when I tried to use a shinobi without ghostwalker/covert, then there are some times when it is impossible to sneak to the control room without activating a pod.
...erm. You're cute. My highest ranked soldier at the time I ran this was a Sergeant.... also because reasons I only have two Shinobis and one of them is halfway through a month in the medbay. A question, though- how do you avoid the reinforcements being a problem? Admittedly the Dark Event Rapid Reinforcements is active, but seven turns after I engaged the first squad I'd had something like 15 enemies worth of reinforcements...

Medics are good, yo.

Well, if you want an example, http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =868768405

Long story short, if you take extremely long on a mission, the game will start dropping 8-man pods of enemies on you every turn forever. Tbh you shouldn't have to worry about it most of the time; I only hit it because I ran a combat mission with two stealth Shinobis and had to do things extremely carefully.

It was early and low-strength, enemy presence was pretty low(very light IIRC, could've been light).

No pods down the left path, 2-3 pods on the right path, 1 pod on the objective roof, no turrets.
I had 3 pods patrolling back and forth between the left and right path in a cyclic fashion...

Yea, that's what I ended up deciding, too.

Gave her a medikit and a couple smoke grenades. I figure she can lag behind the squad where she can heal, aid and smoke to support the main squad as needed.
