WotC's capture/interrogation mechanics

Something that came up in another thread: with 1.3's soft timers, it's even harder now to get soldiers merely captured - most of the time they either get out alive or they die. LW2 enemies are happy to shoot dazed/stunned soldiers - leading to snek tongue being really hated - which further drives down the probability of a capture.

How will this fit in for LWotC? Chosen want to kidnap or psychically interrogate. Should this 'enemy counter-intelligence' mechanic be limited to just the Chosen? As in, what if non-unique enemies could also glean knowledge about XCOM or outright teleport off the map with kidnapped soldiers? For example, a 'Sectoid Sergeant' that can KO a soldier with a Mindspin Deluxe and then psychic interrogate.

Suppose the enemies got some intel out of your soldiers, one way or another. What effects should it have? WotC ramps up the Chosen's EXALT-like sabotage behaviour with Knowledge. What should LWotC do? Set up sting operations (with appropriate Voiceovers making it clear IT'S A TRAP) even without the requisite Str 8 + Faceless? Kill some of your rebels? Immediately trigger retals? Disrupt your Covert Actions?
