Missions Tracker limit of 16 symbols.

PS; Don't mind the custom Icons shown.. these will be simply offered by my qUIck_LW2 mod once v1.3 gets released.

Really don't know how difficult it would be to alter this maximum of 16 Icons at once.. but since LW2 surely can have much larger amounts under certain gameplay conditions -- we often can just lose "track" of supplemental active missions (beyond the 16 shown). :roll:

I'd have to suggest finding some way(s) to stack more of them (if possible ALL);

-- Via a swap toggling method with similar "Arrows" as the Tactical Abilities row?
-- Putting additional Groups of 4 (+/-) above the current last row on top?
-- Resizing everything to make room left & right?
-- Pushing the whole section further to the left to add some relative slots on the current three rows?
-- Creating a dedicated "Tooltip" style BOX that would host any of the valid extra instances?
-- Whatever other HUD system you might want to try out or develop?

Not sure if the Geoscape GFX/Flash script would offer the necessary code components (Vanilla only or not).. but it certainly is weird to witness such continual resets & most probably.. waste a few good opportunities simply from a lack of proper details at any given time.

Please? :geek:

Another option would be to only show "pending" missions in that area and not missions currently under infiltration.
We would need another UI somewhere to review missions currently infiltrated and possibly decide to start them before the end of the infiltration timer but this would both reduce clutter on the screen and help order everything. Possibly a button to toggle between views could be easier than completely creating a new interface.

On a related topic, it would be nice to have a "ignore" option when we get the mission detected message for those missions we really don't plan to run now or later. Once again it would help reduce clutter.

I'd certainly approve of that simple "IGNORE" button you suggest.. if only to rapidly discard these "silly" less-than-one-or-two-days instances. The heavy cluttering has to be tamed one way or another.
Not sure how difficult it would be create whatever alternate "systems" to obtain such controls. It's a wild conundrum to easily assume LW2 introduced high micro-management demands in various gameplay contexts nonetheless. Ideally, they'd be better off re-adjusting the HUD to such gimmicks -- asap! :)
