[Suggestion] Psi tree rework

What if instead of psi ops learning skills through a tree, they learned skills in a node type fashion. i.e the upgrades to psi powers DON'T take a spell slot. Psi ops should be able to learn alien powers
Like mass/reanimate through alien mind control like long war 1.

While mass reanimate could be op, I think they should at least be able to learn Pyrokinesis (very low damage with high chance to burn) and an ability to lower Will to make Insanity more reliable. If they are going to be debuffers, make them the 2nd best (2nd to Grenadier) one.

I also think they need bit more damaging abilities. Void rift 6tcd, Null lance 6tcd, Soulfire 3tcd, and Fuse aren't enough to say replace any soldiers beside maybe specialist or stealth Shinobi.

The thing about mass reanimate is that would require mind controlling a gatekeeper(or avatar to learn mass insanity or a codex to learn Psi bomb) to learn it, like MC an ethereal in LW 1 to learn rift.

I don't think additional research is needed, in fact I think that would just make the PSI trooper even more annoying to play with. Mind controlling ethereal was the most tedious thing about end game long war (outside of air game). To balance out mass reanimate I would give it a long cool down (6+) and make the range really low (3-4 tiles) this make it so that you can control an entire field like a sectoid commander but still useful after a alpha strike. Make it so zombies also die after a few turns because if you just keep them alive you can end up with a army- I think 2 to 3 turns is good. That is, if it's even possible to give it. I think I saw a mod that gives you reanimate at the very least.

But I believe more upfront damage is needed.

edit - I just checked and the Reanimation mod seems to be gone now.
