The Future of Long War 1

I really don't know the possibility of Fireaxis decide to unlock all the programming limit and open the source one day, so players like you and me could edit/mod the game freely.

But, but, if that day finally come, would the PI team continue to make the development of Long War 1 a going concern? Or say, what are the stuff do the team, or we players, wanted to be added in to LongWar1, but not added due to the current technical limitation set by XCOM:EW?

I say mine first: I would like to see new graphics and audio effect on Laser Lance and Pulse Lance, so railgun can go back to match its inventory Icon.
Also, I m curious what do a 'Mortarpod' would actually look like if it can really get implemented into the game. :)
