Just a minor concept, but you would think after having xcom beat teh crap out of soldiers in an area over and over again it would cause fear among the troops, we already know advant doesn't mind control out emotions just look at the vipers and mutons panicking when you use the skin of their bad ass soldiers as armor.


So here is the concept: squad notoriety

As you complete missions with a squad they will become more notorious in to the advant ranks. with the more dangerous the squad the more drastic the advants actions and fear among the troops.


example concept: notoriety levels

level: zero
info: basicly a new squad or a squad that hasn;t worked together
squad perks: NA
advant reactions: NA

level: one
info: this squad has done several missions together requires squad to have atleast 3 members with 4 missions together.
squad perk: moral boost, +10 to will
advant reactions: soldiers bunker, upon seeing squad standard troopers, gunners, and sentries will hunker down as a free action.

level: two
info: squad has started to put a hurt on the Advant forces, requires 3 members with 10 missions together
squad perks: (one plus) +5 aim when with in 4 spaces of each other, along with +10 defense to hole squad.
reason for perk: knowing each other they know that their squad has their backs, and how to defend each other.
advant reactions: 5% panic chance on pod activation, commanders will call in reinforcements on sight. so take out commanders and sectoids quickly.

level: three
info: this is the group advant fears, these soldiers have thought a gorrila war with each other for so long they know everything about each ohter. requires 3 members with 25 missions together. (not something you are going to get more then one of)
squad perks: (two plus), no one left behind, members of the squad will always bleed out instead of dying, they will can be picked up by other members as a free action and are stabilized when picked up.

advant reactions: infiltration is 10% harder for these squads, but killing any leader type alien will have a chance to cause every survivor from that pod to panic(max 25% chance). it may also cause enemies to flee from battle all together (ones that will flee are advant soldiers[all but commander], vipers, and rarely mutons[only a 1% chance]). enemies that flee from battle will drop any loot they have and do a full turn to run away if they hit the battle wall they will leave the battle and count as an eliminated enemy.
