That is indeed our theory. Note that Aid Prot and Smoke give +Def not +Dodge. To really guarantee Combatitives is doing its job, wear Nanoweave (-25 enemy crit) or learn Resilience at AWC (-50) if available.

If you're doing a Mag rush, there is merit in considering 1~2 respec Snipers (before they become Sgt). As per the advice here I took a supply raid at 40% infiltration and pulled it off thanks to combatives, smoke, and aid protocol. The test for whether Psi was worth it is around August in Commander. When M3 dudes start showing up and you don't have Coilgun deployed, Psi will be asked "were you worth it when we could have had good guns?" The answer to that will depend on what you've been doing with early Psi.

Making a Sapper guide is a 2 step process: a bunch of cropped screenshots (or just a long list of object descriptions) and then some caption under each to describe what happens. Someone else could do the former.

The danger of yellow-alert is when you don't know if/where it will come. Get rid of that uncertainty and it's not so dangerous - they still need to aim.
