Re: Suggestion
You could also alter the ini rather easily (go about six folders into your file and replace some text in a config file), to make the awc take 0 days of respec. If I'm just testing out abilities and find one is bad I'll respec it. But I won't use this to just switch builds to a high level one later. ...

Patch 1.2 To-Hit Changes
Hello, I was just wondering about this upcoming change "Crit is now clamped to 0 to 100; Dodge is now capped at 100; Negative dodge now acts like positive crit, allowing only a single tier upgrade. This should prevent edge cases where excessively high dodge or high/low crit scores had unintende...

Roust only dealing one damage all the time.
LW 1.1 PC, Flank, OW All, Evac All, Perfect Info, Unequip Upgrades All Hello, I haven't used Roust much before so I don't know if this is intended behavior (the damage range says 1-4, but maybe that's to include burning? That's not how the base flamethrower works though so I'm guessing this is a bug...

Re: Covering Fire as a lvl 1 Offensive AWC perk
I don't think it ignores the cover bonus, but I think it doesn't have the standard OW penalty, so it's like you shot a standard shot at them. I don't use Covering Fire so I could very well be wrong, but I thought that's how it worked? No, actually, nevermind. I just tested it and it applies both th...

Re: Thoughts on revealing the AWC soldier perks?
Any RNG, (in this case, hiding the tree makes the ultimate fruits of your labor random, and not hiding them would make it guaranteed.) in the game is there to replace a spike in difficulty (of enemies) or lack of effectiveness (in players). In other words, if they took out the randomness of hiding t...

Re: Is the Trench Gun Perk Useful?
The cone told me it was going to hit 3 guys, and despite Perfect Information informing me that it had a 100% chance to hit, 0% crit, 10% dodge, it totally ignored the back two (who were behind high cover). I'll tell you some of the points about Trench Gun you might've missed. First of all, as an AO...

Re: Is the Trench Gun Perk Useful?
I'm wondering if somehow the changes to Flamethrower in 1.1 affected other cone attacks like Trench Gun. Those changes allowed Flamethrower to wrap around cover, but that also effectively cut its range by 1. This required increasing its range by 1 to get back the same effective range it hand in 1.0...

Re: Reworking the Technical
I suspect you'll find Pavonis have limited appetite for a complete class overhaul of this nature. If you have suggested tweaks / perks that relate to the existing concept, they might be more receptive. Indeed. Simple solutions are the ticket, it's not like the class must be demolished from it's cur...

Re: Is the Trench Gun Perk Useful?
Opinions anyone? I don't understand what you find so hard about using it? You just use it like with standard run and gun, run up to an enemy flank and shoot them, often enemies will be relatively close so you can at least get two. It's hardly restricted any more than a regular shotgun shot. In almo...

Re: Specialist builds
Killzone is awesome when it works. I'm not sure if it's the same issue or only issue but with the LWPP I experimented with gunner Killzone and much of the time the flakiness resulted from the fact that it seems like the enemy has to run into a Killzone tile. If they're on the edge of the effect the...

Yeah, having to equip suppressors over vanilla basically means it's a slot less than you think.trihero wrote:You'd think 3 slots baseline on everything is enough, but it really isn't.

You can restaff the region simply by posting a soldier there, a soldier increases recruitment rate and will allow you to start up your haven from scratch again. (Albeit slowly).Balor wrote:I

Not sure why covering fire does not ignore cover bonus. It always should have as you are shooting at someone coming out of cover to fire at you. Makes it a good perk and makes sense. Should've been this way since eu... I don't think it ignores the cover bonus, but I think it doesn't have the standa...

Re: Opinion on Rocketeers
Grenadiers suffer from mobility penalties due to 4 slots while Technical are less impaired. Yes, but this is balanced in that grenades can be used after moving without penalty, while rockets suffer an almost insufferable one. I do sometime yell at rocket scatters yet rockets per se, without scatter...

Re: Opinion on Rocketeers
Not a bad idea, but possibly complex from a code/inventory standpoint. I think the Gauntlet could stand to take a page from the Grenade Launcher's book too - blast radius/cone size. Rockets are a flat 6 radius across all tiers, and the Flamer is a flat 7x5. This could be shifted down to 5/6/7 for r...

Re: Opinion on Rocketeers
The reason they're extending the range by one was because they accidentally nerfed the range from 1.0. It's not meant to be a buff, but rather a fix.trihero wrote:I think there's a reason they're extending the flamethrower's range by 1 in the next version, maybe they will feel better then?

Opinion on Rocketeers
Rocket Technicals : I would not say Rocketeers are exactly weak in a vacuum, but compared to grenadiers they certainly are, in short because of quantity. I don't think grenadiers are a problem in themselves, with the huge nerfs to explosives (damage falloff, environmental damage, very dangerous ale...

They are possible. In fact on Legendary so far I've taken every supply raid offered to me with 10 people/minimum infil because I feel that's the easiest way to do them. The 8 man pods don't get 8 yellow alert moves, they get like 3. It's really annoying if the shieldbearer gets the move. I tried it...

The mod hasn't been out very long so it's understandable, but Aliens are "activated" by sound. They will run toward you and take immediate shots on sight if they are alerted by sounds. Explosives are the worst about this. This is a feature of long war 2. Also people usually believe that gr...
