Re: Kubikiri. Good or way too good?
Hrm... Mostly the issue with Acid Grenades is that it competes with T3 swords (Archon Corpse) and Fire Grenades (grenade slot). I do think most damage-focused grenadiers would do well to carry one more grenade of a different type aside from fire grenades, and Acid is a very good choice so you can ta...

Re: Kubikiri. Good or way too good?
To be honest there's a lot of perks to reduce giant enemies to piles of nothing, you say it takes one and two half guys to take it down with a Kubikiri sharpshooter, if two of those guys are gunners then it takes the exact same amount of effort, as you said one acid grenade+one gunner is honestly ar...

Re: CyberBall stupid AI
I've not had a campaign last long enough to see a Gatekeeper in LW2. Want to meet one to see what happens when I point a T2 stun gun at it. Well it was in 1.2 But a T3 stun gun can basically keep literally anything locked down forever. Even a Gatekeeper. I did that once, there were a lot of enemies...

Re: On the oddities and failures of Kill Zone/Covering Fire
As a player who's been on the receiving end of this "feature" and been soured by how seemingly-inconsistent Killzone is, I thank everyone's investigative work on this. It's great to finally understand how Killzone actually works (even if it's now even more lacklustre than I thought it was...

Also remember that while Killzone states that it can execute Longwatch shots without requiring Longwatch... It still requires Squadsight to fire at squadsight range.

Re: Perks that are amazing if they were on a different class
Pistol skills work very well on sharpshooters. Their aim is high enough that they can actually hit and cause considerable damage on their targets. DfA sharpshooters work well, particularly if you score a kill, you can then use the extra shot from several of the pistol skills to finish off a wounded...

Re: Grenadiers suck.
Ok LW2 approach is more coherent but it remains that I don't want learn myself what target it can destroy or not and the point is to my eyes no way it's 100% but random. Wait do you mean it destroy anything as soon it's a cover for the soldier using the skill? I would swear this isn't true and ther...

Re: CyberBall stupid AI
I don't see much the problem, CyberBall is obviously stupid, don't use covers, rush on enemies blindly, so it's coherent it hurts allies to revive a lot of corpse. For what's worth given the sheer amount of armor and defense it has coupled with the innate damage reduction (it has 30% damage reducti...

Re: Grenadiers suck.
Demolition skill is a pointless boredom, I'm bored use it for nothing (as far I remember LW2 changes nothing it's same in XCOM2), the game should says clearly what will be destroyed and if there's a chance then the chance level should be shown, like it is it's non sense blind design. LW2's Demoliti...

Re: CyberBall stupid AI
I watched XWYNSS youtube videos recently i realized that the "CyberBall" (Gatekeepers) has implemented very stupid AI decisions that many times hit own troops than targeting XCOM soldiers because they love raising zombies for all costs. Maybe its worth make some AI changes and modify psi ...

There were a few instances where the proving grounds were sitting idle and the weapon mods were the only things I could spare the resources for, so I built some. Got up to elite scopes.

Re: Grenadiers suck.
Damages isn't only for cover but also shredding, Hp reduction and ensure some damages. Moreover with the two skills for cover destruction is it still true? I feel too random the cover destruction so I don't base my tactics on that, could be an error I do, but I still find damages grenadiers quite u...

Re: Supply Missions
Hey guys, Can someone explain to me how I can produce supply missions with a decent time frame to infiltrate? What do you mean by "supply missions"? Are you talking about Supply Train raids where you try to intercept moving ADVENT troops? Those are supposed to be hard to detect so it's no...

Re: How do you deal with yellow alert flanking shots?
I was thinking about that rule and wondered, ok random bonus actions, ok then why not during combats? Sigh to me it's just a lame rule, I bet to target a pointless element, walk not on cover when no pod is discovered, for me a solution much more worse than the problem, random bonus actions is plain...

Nothing to update, I'm afraid, but thanks for your continuing interest. Johnny you are killing me. I know you can't legally tell us If the game will be updated/compatible with LW2. Re: Grenadiers suck.
The problem with grenades for cover destruction is that it isn't AOE. At least not effectively. The environmental damage falls off (even with perks), so you're much better centering the aoe on the cover you want to blow up, rather than try for multiple. Damages isn't only for cover but also shreddi...

Re: Replacing Concussion Rockets with another skill.
Eeehhh if you must You could utilize Steady Hands, since it's a perk that actually helps the rocket (you get a generic +10 aim not +10 to shots taken like Steady Aim or Hunker Down: Aim give) if you don't move. Chain Shot/Walk Fire are weird choices for technicals since their secondary role (after u...

Re: will we get a chance to play 1.5 before the expansion?
I don't even mean making a 'Long War of the Chosen', no. It's just that the DLC is coming along with bigger updates, bigger updates break mods hardcore. I know they're wise enough to know LW2's going to just fall apart when WotC comes out, they're already going to have to scramble just to restore t...

Re: will we get a chance to play 1.5 before the expansion?
I am 100% certain they are specifically waiting until after the expansion because release 1.5 too close just means they're going to have to readjust everything right after. I seriously doubt that. Even thought JL still havn't confirmed or rejected any of our wild guesses about LW2 being ported to W...

Re: Technicals and Grenadiers with SMG's
You can even do some amazing things with SMGs sometimes, a close combat Ranger with immense mobility (Rie got equipped with an SMG, has a Speed PCS and high innate mobility, she's sitting at 21 mobility when without items) is super fun to run in and hit stuff in the face, particularly if you can Bot...

Re: Can Haven rebels die in Mini-retals?
I dont think were on the same page guys. Im not talking about Haven retaliations where you actually have to evacuate the rebels, im talking about the mini ones like the Intel Raid where the rebels actually fight alongside your troops and evacuating them isn't necessary. (unless its the recruit raid...
