I didn't use the squad management system that much.... until the officer leadership mechanic was added. Now it's one of my favorite features. :)

I'll even record particularly epic missions a squad has in the squad history field (the paragraph JL mentioned).

Certainly possible, though I have to say some of those guys (xwynns and JoINrbs) are pretty good at finding exploits haha. :)

We break it into parts. You really only have to liberate one region to win the campaign; the rest are optional (but still useful to do). The new Dark Event system JL mentioned in the megathread will give some aliens some new perks, which (I can say from experience) definitely contributes to tactical variety and a general feeling that the aliens are working just as hard as you are to improve.

Will soldiers sent out on infiltration still be accruing XP to gain levels/perks? So, when you send soldiers out on infiltration it culminates in a mission, where you'll get mission and kill XP based on how you do (like in vanilla). I'll add that the mod compatibility list has a specific category for mods for which similar functionality exists within LW2 for easy reference. As far as I know, character pool classes don't even really work unless the soldier in question is a reward soldier of some kind (i.e. not obtained as a rookie).... right? I haven't looked too much into it since I don't typically care what class my pool people are so I'm not super familiar with the m...

Pistols go in utility slots, same as grenades medkits etc.

So you can have a Technical with a Gauntlet and a Pistol running around - something I'm personally quite fond of.

Were you able to add tiers of weapons to the Spark and to other DLC that just use the same models? That wouldn't bother me one bit. It's nice to have custom graphics but the gameplay is what matters.
