actually this is a vanilla bug, I forget what triggers it but it is easy to get out of hit esc save game then reload the save. aka close out and get back in.

I think the problem here is map type. and yeah if you double move everyone the first 2 or 3 turns you can generally make it. but the larger maps mainly the ones which are train hacks (hate them), tend to require you having a high move speed guy low geared with an SMG.

And we have the major clue. the out of LOS bit.

cause it was the same in the few situations I had it, which was near buildings or in one case in a modded ruins which had a lot of LOS blockers.

that would be an advent sentry.

And here to report the same thing, the sentries seem to be bugged as killing doesn't remove overwatch some times leading to a dead soldier attacking your units.

Ok found the problem it was hack plus. which is strange as all that does is add +3 points to a soldiers hack if they manage to make the hack.

that file does not exist in my mod folder for long war 2. hell there are no .ini files their are config files but no .ini ones.

unable to hack doors on rescue missions

For some reasons can't hack doors on rescue missions. even with some one that can hack. even blowing the doors open with grenades doesn't open them.

As a result I lost a mission I had locked down, thought it was one time, next mission like that same thing this time i got pissed and deleted save.
