What made you think that will was the stat used for success/fail of insanity?

If it wasn't clear from the above post, the success/fail of insanity it's determined by the psi offense of the soldier and the will of the enemy.

This is true for domination as well.

As far as Faceless go, if the Alien Infiltrator Dark Event isn't running, you'll find them only in Capture VIP missions. I heard maybe regions with high strenght can have them, not sure. The file you want is Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/268500/844674609/config/XComLW_AWCpack.ini . Open in Notepadd++, and add a semicolon ( ; ) to the beginning of lines 124 and 155

The tower/override bug is a bug from vanilla. Any tower reward you get (not just deception) is re-granted when you use haywire or Full Override. My experience with bugs like this is that it's usually an issue with the perfect information mod, and the skills themselves are working properly. The perfect info mod was created, i think, before lw2 even came out and has not been maintained by it's creator. It's not optimized for skills like cyclic...

I think you only get a resistance MEC if the unit you hack is a MEC. It sounds like you used full override on a sectopod.
