So far my attempts at replacing body-shield have been less than fruitful. Agreed. If they came with DC and had the option of JB I'd probably consider building them. Or like you said, some more DR or HP would make them a more viable pick.

The loss of the equipment slot on the Mec 5 is also quite uhh ... devastating, to say the least. :(

Yeah, it's annoying when you're sending in your covert operative and have to manually cycle through your roster to unequip a laser pistol lol. I wonder how hard it would be to move that magic button to the barracks main view ? Probably fricken hard since it's a UI element.. Oh how I envy modders. :)

With the Mec suits being so fragile in this version I don't like to encourage fire against them at all, unless it's a full tank-spec Goliath. You can go to the Grey market to see how many of each item you have, though I usually just hit the "Make items available" button during load-out which un-equips all items from your whole roster. Then you can take a tally either during loadout, going to Engineering and looking at the number...

One of the best aspects I've noticed about JB is that even on flat maps it still works wonders for getting over stair-wells and over embankments which serve to increase your movement efficiency. At this point I have to assume this is just blatant trolling by JL. Thankfully, I've already been schooled by the mods previous troll attempts enough not to bring more than one CPL on a crashed scout mission at this point in the game. At least this confirms my suspicions that the aliens are over 900...

This has also been worrying me, as I plan to take this playthrough as far as it can possibly go. It's June 22nd 2017 and the UFO's have become quite nasty. I have no clue to how much research the aliens have acquired, but I fear I will not be able to stay relevant in the Air-game for too much longer...
