The type of mission affects the base infiltration time. All other changes are applied separately (Squadsize, gear&perks).

That's probably because of the action you take (e.g. standard shot) eats up any remaining action points this turn (standard behaviour). The skills then add one action afterwards.

Everyone keeps forgetting, that the 75% burn chance is not the only CC-effect the incendiary has. It can also set tiles aflame, speaking of space denial, or even the tile an enemy is in, resulting in a burning status if the opponent moves or on the end of his turn.

no "Intel package" is a mission reward. It is either a facility lead, a POI, or the Nest or the Tower. No need to research anything. Do not confuse this advent or alien data caches.

The DLC story contents are activated by checking the respective tickbox at campaign start.

Depends. Did you activate the story content? If so, the Nest and the Tower mission are possible outcomes of an "intel package". Therefore, if you never do those, you don't get the missions.

Probably Lib3, there's a +2 Alert modifier on Lib3's. Or you underinfiltrated and thus the Alert level went up.

As far as I can tell, the Alternate Mod Launcher doesn't allow you to control the load order. It instead picks the most likely correct load order itself. It also points out possible conflicts, although some of those aren't a problem; you can check out the mod comments by right-clicking and selectin...

in defense of the hard timers, I don't remember any "boom, you're dead" timers. only "meh, goal failed" and "you're coming with us!" timers. But all in all, it feels more organic now. And Advent taking less prisoners also fits.

Expansion will give you more room to maneuver. You can leave a high alert region to calm down while running missions in lower alert regions. This may result in more supplies (SnG's), personnel and experienced soldiers. Don't fear the enemies. They will only get tougher in time, not by expansion, so,...
