That's a shame. It showed up in my game, probably in the July timeframe. I believe it was in August that the Viper King showed on a mission and I took him out. I'm currently in September, and haven't seen the other rulers yet, but I'm expecting them to show.

I hope that in some way, shape, or form Pavonis is making some money from this mod. The quality is top notch, and I can only imagine that this is a mammoth effort to coordinate. Fair points. I've seen "Swarming" result in anywhere from 38 enemies to 51 on HQ assaults, so clearly Swarming has a lot of variation depending on Advent strength.

Yeah, it gives you benefits, but they're kinda pointless given the nature of the mission. You're going to drop the flare after the first pod and there's over a dozen turns of combat after that. You can't stealth the mission so concealment range is meaningless. 5-7 fewer enemies is pointless since t...

Yes indeed! I didn't even notice that the game had updated. Much appreciation for your continued efforts! Like you did with XCOM EU, XCOM2 now has been given "proper" version, and it's only getting better.

I find pistols are useful on rangers too, as rangers are so likely to run out of ammo. If an alien has low health left, finishing them off with a pistol is usually as effective as a gun. It allows for the ranger to shoot more often. Autoloaders will solve that problem too, at least for your initial...

What's the point you're trying to make? No one is saying that you should always wear a pistol. The point I am making is that because my officers are specialists, and it does not make sense to waste a utility slot on a specialist for a sidearm to me, "You'll Need This" is not an ability I ...

Yeah, but that pistol would have to come at the expense of a flashbang, smoke, medkit and/or defensive armor. 2 firearms on the squad member who will be attacking least often makes little sense to me.

That's interesting. So does your officer lose access to the pistol for the rest of the mission? Or forever? I usually only put pistols on my sharpshooters, and so far haven't made any sharpshooter an officer, so I may never have to occasion to use this ability. I can't see putting a pistol on an off...

Under what circumstances does this Officer Perk work, or does it even work?
I've seen it show up numerous times on my officers, always with zero charges. In a few VIP escort missions I thought, oh, cool, my VIP can do some fighting. But again, always zero charges if it shows up at all.

I've noticed these designations on the Wiki, and in Xavier's Let's Play. But I've never seen anything to explain what they are exactly. Stronger versions of enemies I guess, but is that it? It there more detail available about them anywhere?

It certainly looks to be a Long War 2 thing, as it's never happened to me previously. My current LW2 game is very sparse on mods, just a cosmetic, voice and a couple of QoL mods. Nothing that changes combat balance in any way, shape, or form. I wanted to experience a pure LW2 game my first time in.

I think another reason people are stealthing is because, they enjoy stealthing every now and again. I currently have 9 squads in my barracks, and 1 of those is a dedicated stealth/recon squad. I pick them to go on missions where my intention if to avoid combat - I try to keep a 2/1 ratio of shinobis...
