You'll know LW1 is working when it crashes the first time you open it. It'll also be pretty clear when you start a new game and there are around 20 new options and when you select a country bonus.

I think lib 1-2 are hard to detect. You'll need everyone on intel plus the avenger and you'll have to be sure there are no faceless hindering intel gathering in order to be sure you find it with enough time consistently.

I'm playing commander. Its totally not affordable on legendary. There are stupid things I like to do. Enough that I don't play Legendary. But, come on. Putting a Bastion Psi behind a SPARKS is just too fun not to do. :mrgreen:

Just the fact that the SPARKs gives high cover wherever you need it (with an early perk) is so strong, espesially vs. AOE attacks. I run my Psi unit behind the SPARKs pretty much always. You don't need to mod them. They are pretty strong as-is. SPARKS are tanks and high cover with strong utility tools. Some quick things I noticed.

AP and shredder are much more useful.
Defensive perks are much better as your less likely to be able to kill everything. Its good to have a guy who can take the shots.
Its more important to go wide in the roster as you'll have more wounded.

Implacable is better for a crit build. A flank is +40% crit chance. Implacable lets you flank and lets you get more shots off overall. It works best with high mobility rangers. The skill doesn't have much payoff when you can't blue move from cover to cover.

In my highly limited experience the increased strength is not a big factor. Its just more corpses at the end. Whats going on is that our gunner and ranger specs are inversed. I'm not a fan of active gunners, nor reactive rangers. I still have a powerful rapid fire soldier burning down big targets, but, its not the gunner.

Killzone only requires 1 ap to use. I was under the impression that it required 2. This makes the skill a hell of a lot more useful.

If you skullmine an advent officer with over 20 hp you'll end up with a very aggressive corpse flopping about on the battlefield.

If you look inside the game directory they are actually two completely seperate games. WOTC has its own folder inside the main game folder. You could move that folder, delete the vanilla files, and the expansion will still run just fine. They did the same crap with the original xcom. Its a great way...
