Re: What does missile "Scatter" mean?
In any case it is hilarious when you attempt to fire a rocket which gets a relatively high scatter value, the soldier will literally spin in a completely unrelated direction and blast the scenery giving the feedback of "rocket went off course" - YOU DON'T SAY!?

Re: Changing weapon fx colour?
I see, thank you. I never used reaper ammo so I probably never noticed that
So it's probably also not possible to swap weapon animations around? Like adding the rail gun fx to a gauss/assault riffle?

Re: Why do you play "Ironman"? (if you do ;) )
I understand, so it's more of a personal challenge thing. It is true that sometimes you maybe load one more time than you have to, but on the other claw it's simply a question time and sunk effort for me, I guess. I played one ironman game, now I want to complete games  I try to save-scum a...

A pity, really But thanks for your replyjohnnylump wrote:We never figured out how to do something like that.
But didn't you add the Gauss-fx? I can't remember it being in vanilla EU/EW?

Changing weapon fx colour?
Just a quick thought. The beam lasers, gauss weapons and pulse lasers are all red. While I really like the new Gauss effect, is it possible to change the gauss weapon effect to blue so it is more in-line with the rail gun fx? Simply asking wether this is maybe simply a hue value that can be changed ...

Re: UFO damage indicator
I have found the Interception UFO damage display mod by XMarksTheSpot hosted on Nexusmods. It says that this "mod has already been integrated into the Long War mod since version Beta 15". However I see no UFO damage indicator when I play Long War? ? Is it still included in the game and I ...

That's true, but you had to build a MEC bay in vanilla, didn't you?

MEC bay unavailable
I've encountered a rather serious bug (I hope so). I have researched cybernetics to the point I can augment soldiers and create the first MEC-armour as well as several foundry projects. I can build the "Paladin" armour in the workshops, augment the soldiers - but I don't have and can't bui...

Re: Flashbang grenades
What kind of impact are we talking about, though? do you mean X-Com operatives cannot be flashbanged, even if directly hit with a bang via friendly fire or do you just wonder why they don't get blinded themselves when they throw it at a distant enemy? The latter is easily explained with either helme...

Console command/cheat to speed up aircraft repairs?
I studied the dev console commands but I failed to find one that can help me in a specific situation I'm in. I'm in a very bad situation in one of my campaigns which I can however turn around - if only I could get two interceptors ready. I can't however really restore a previous game to get in a bet...

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to dig into it and see if I can modify some of them.

Why do you play "Ironman"? (if you do ;) )
In the steam forums and sometimes other game forums I read people "complaining" about Long War's difficulty. A lot of people even complained about vanilla, but Long War now usually gets the cake. When they state the way they are playing it's usually I/I - why? I mean, once you got the achi...

Re: HE grenades are broken
I don't really understand the damage calculation for grenades. The AP grenade deals high damage against targets but none against cover and even the slightest cover shields from damage. But the HE grenade is really underpowered in comparison - it deals less damage against targets and is frequently co...

Is there a (relatively easy) way to change textures?
It is simply amazing what LW did for X-Com EU/EW. One of the few things that I personally would like to see adjusted are some textures the game uses currently. Since everything we have is made up of native assets used to fit as best as possible some things seem a bit odd. For example, using tactical...

Re: Your preferred HQ location
Good ideas here. Currently I'm trying a run with Russia - Roscosmos. Cheaper satellite uplinks and two out of the box to establish quicker coverage. But what CrypticC62 said holds true - Europe isn't quick to cover due to having four countries so this isn't until a third adjacent uplink can be built...

Your preferred HQ location
Which country/bonus do you usually choose in a LW campaign and why? I'm not so sure myself. My longest LW campaign (which somehow stalled, and then updates came) I chose the UKs "SAS" bonus, +5 aim for all. But in the long run that really didn't pay out since the +5 aim aren't really that ...

Re: Some stuff could have been but weren't because they might be hard to do.
I get that, but there's, at least I think so, a point where "more difficult" just comes into that weird area where, in essence, you'd get the same effect by either halving your money outright via .ini files or reducing soldier health. I don't know if the longing for extreme difficulty thro...

Re: Some stuff could have been but weren't because they might be hard to do.
From a players' perspective (my own to be precise :D ) -Limited Tactical armor: This one could had been as a Second Wave option. Now, both Tac Vest and Armors are limited and can be lost, forcing soldierts to go in either their traditional clothes (Shirt, pants and boots) you can see them in the Bar...
