Re: One dark event has made me feel like I lost the game...

I'm pretty sure Viper Rounds is permanent. In my current campaign, it was one of the earliest DEs that popped up, even before the first +1 HP DE, MECs and Mutons were just showing up as the newest, biggest, baddest enemies on missions, and I hadn't liberated my first region. It is now late game, I'v...

Re: Now that's what I call JAILERS!!!

I had something similar happen on a HQ assault. I cleared out everything else on the map, and as my Shinobi is scouting the patrol route of the general's pod so I can pick a good place for an ambush, the entire pod walks into a jail cell. And once in there, they didn't move. I'm not sure if it was t...

Re: Long War2 is Short War?

Oh, I'm definitely not trying to remove all of the pips of the Avatar project. I understand that isn't going to happen, and I understand slowing them down on it. Honestly, the Avatar project is the least of the issues. It's mostly the ramp up of ADVENT strength so quickly, and the piling up of DEs t...

Re: One dark event has made me feel like I lost the game...

Vigilance does go away eventually. But it is a pain until it does. I hated it in vanilla, too, and it was usually my top priority to counter. It's even worse in LW2. Advent Guardians/Sentinels when you have Vigilance are a nightmare... they can damn near see through concealment out to full visual ra...

Long War2 is Short War?

Has anyone else felt like Long War 2 is actually shorter than vanilla? No doubt there are more missions, more things to manage, and more going on, that make it generally feel longer, but in reality it actually seems shorter in terms of in-game calendar time than a vanilla XCom 2 campaign. Sure, you ...

Re: Datatap Missions

Just wait until it's a hive queen pod that activates on your rebels on turn one rather than just a viper pod. Had that happen twice in a row now. Datatap and all rebels dead by the end of alien's turn two.

Re: "Protect Data tap" missions seem unbalanced

I just had my second one of these... in one day... plus two haven defenses... and once again a hive queen was on the datatap, along with a chrysalid soldier and two basic chrysalids on turn one. On turn two, they were joined by two sectoid commanders, two muton centurions, and two sidewinder elites....

Re: Slayed by unrevealed enemies LeL

Laser Sight isnt useless on a sniper, but it's probably not the best choice, except maybe for a build around kubikiri. You can easily stack enough aim bonuses to have snipers hitting things through high cover from way across the map. Class Perks like Damn Good Ground and Death From Above to start, A...

Re: "Protect Data tap" missions seem unbalanced

For defending the data tap in particular, the rebels at the objective have some weapons, but more importantly, they have some critical consumables that are key to defending themselves long enough for your QRF to come save the day. Where the enemy pods are located at the start of the mission will al...

Re: PSA on Haywire and Trojan

Thank you for the update!! A few missions ago I had a MEC controlled while finishing off a pod, and knew the MEC was on his last turn of control. But, I had Trojan, so I concentrated on finishing off the active pod and I'd finish off the MEC next turn since it would be trojaned. As expected, the MEC...
