Do Needle Grenades also leave enemy corpses "intact" (intact enough to sell/autopsy)? Or is it just Loot items that are treated differently by needles?

Yeah, BEWARE any research options labeled "Render". That means "don't do the autopsy, just extract some alloys/elerium instead".
I wish they could be a different colour in the research project list, or all grouped at the bottom.

Yes, in order to get basically any POI you need to take missions with "Find a Lead" objective or "Intel Package" rewards. That includes Lost Towers, Alien Nest, and any other special POI missions. I'm afraid I can't personally confirm the console command works as I haven't tried ...

I love these ideas! Assassinating specific aliens sounds like a nice way to require the player to actually kill something. The Frost Bomb might be overpowered in such missions - not sure. I suspect the other ideas would be rather technically challenging to implement, but if anyone can do it, Pavonis...

You say "disable as many as possible in one turn", but with the current low set-on-fire percentage isn't that only a smallish fraction of the targets within the cone anyway? Or are you using advanced skills that increase the set-on-fire percentage?

Indeed, you shouldn't be trying missions with less than 100% infiltration until you know what you're doing. On the Assign Soldiers to Mission screen, at the top-right it displays the total infiltration time this current squad would take to get to 100%, and the total time available for this mission. ...
