Oh, yeah, you may've blown up the ADVENT Officer from Operation Gatecrasher. Which would definitely limit your ability to research his corpse until you've done another materiel-recovery mission!

I have around 20 dark events active, is that how it's supposed to be or did I hit a bug? If Covering Fire negated cover bonuses on the target, that'd be enough, I think. Doubt it's possible, though, to make it like that.

Killzone either incorrectly states it uses Squad Sight or incorrectly doesn't use it. Right now, Killzone on a Sharpshooter is a waste because of that.

CUP is the best overwatch perk you can get that isn't Sentinel, Guardian, or Rapid Response. In order to prevent the loss of PCSes, I've been giving them to soldiers in the barracks screen, then immediately going out and flying the Avenger someplace and scanning for roughly a day. I really like the ideas for the Gauntlet an awful lot. Hopefully someone will create a mod for that functionality if it's never implemented in LW2 base! I agree with you on most of your class commentary, although I would like to say that, if you're so inclined, you should totally try out using SPAR...

Console-added staff are weirdly able to be given a level denotation. I don't think it does anything for most facilities, but it increases their base research rate and efficiency at clearing debris.

Sadly, your conclusions are the same as my own and that of those who've come before us: Wet Work is simply not worth taking, at this point, mathematically. If it doubled kill experience, it'd be a decent use of 75 supplies early in the game, but as it is, it's just a trap.

Sorry, I was impolite. I know there's a setting for disabling the rank multiplier on respec times in the XComLW_Overhaul.ini file, line 171. It suggests that the formula is only based on base rank, non-officer stuff, non-AWC skills.

I still find that pistols synergize the best with (DFA) Sharpshooters. The ability to take a second shot after a successful DfA kill is absolutely amazing, especially once you're past conventional pistols and can expect more than 1-2 damage a shot from your pistole.

I've never encountered this, and I use a few map mods. Which mods do you use, because I can guarantee you that having no cover is a problem with a mod, not with LW2.
