XCOM Enemy Within Bug - Black Screen

I am writing this for a friend, that can`t speak English. 3 Weeks ago the game just worked fine. Now: Everytime a mission is finished and the Skyranger takes off, there comes a black screen. No sound anymore. Game seems crashed. Only ctrl, ALT + del allows to leave game. That happens now on ALL miss...

Don`t know, if this is intended, but with the mod I can`t select more the two intercepters in the squadron. "Problem" doesn`t occur, when I send Firestorms.

Mod request: Mouse control on black market

Could someone make a mod for faster selling on the black market? My lifetime is too short, to click those 4000 times for weapon fragments.
In Ufo defense you could just hold down your mousebutton and see the amount of selling items rise.

Is such a mod possible?

How does your mod assign the squad leader? Or, in other words: which of the assigned aircrafts will be chosen bei the mod to be the squad leader?

The problem is, that even very large Ufos tend to bei destroyed by my EMP. But I need those ships go down ;)

Thanks, that worked!

But somehow, with your mod, all the ufos I shot at are destroyed, not just downed. Did I do something wrong? I`m using EMP weapons.

I tested it on various situations. Ufo-destructions happen in 90 % of the time.

In what position do I have to copy the language lines into XcomStrategyGame.DEU? Just to the end or else?

Getting big ships down

Hi there,

I am now very far in the campaign but did never manage to bring a large or very large UFO down.

What is your best strategy for this? I got 2 Firestorms with EMP. But they don`t stand a chance.

Since in Sept. most missions start with an infilitration time of about 2 days or 3, my infilitration can`t go higher then maybe 50 %.

Ok, I seem to have come to some kind of dead end. Most missions can`t be done anymore by me due to the strength of the enemy pods.

And I am not willing replaying a weeks work on that game. Something is clearly wrong for me, when this is necessary on a rooky - game....

Maybe I missunderstood the mod a bit.

I like to grow in power and not just preventing from drowning.


How do I prevent unlocking several pots? I hide somewhere and.... there it is.

Or: How am I supposed to move cloacked, when there will be about 2 or 3 pods near my target in the mission?

What annoys me most is unwillingly activating multiple pods on high activity missions. I just can`t stand all of them. And there is a pod activated just 3m to direction X. This combined with the timers ruins the mod for me. Gone is the overwatch strategy from LW1 for me. What sense does it make to u...

There are indeed overlays of the two buttons, but not completely. Hovering above the right button lets the right one being highlighted.

But clicking the first time, the bug occurs, the second time not.

I`ve achieved now magnetic weapons for most of my people.

But I`m still sucking at missions with high alien activity. What do you recommend?

Are those only for the end game?

I beat that mission (game-)months ago.

Now it reappears and I can`t land on the site.

Ok:
I reloaded the savegame, now I can do that mission a second time.

Set equipment free (option canceled)

So I click on this button, to make equipment again available to everybody, but the equip-screen cancels, and I find myself back again on the hologlobe.

Reduing this bypasses the bug. But this is a little annoying to have to do that twice.

Ok, I installed the "better aim" mod and altered the ini of the laser and coil tier according to the values of the better aim mod. That helped.
