I was doing it on Commander, and one of the several DE's that were applying to my squad, was rapid reinforcements. The setup people are recommending would not work when you constantly have pods dropping in on your snipers position.

Enraged Berserkers not targeting closest
Enraged berserkers are not going after the nearest living thing. They seem to be targeting only xcom personel, no matter how far away they are.

I totally cannot see any option to build a tower anywhere. I have flown all over the place, accessed haven management screen in every way i know how, and never seen anything allowing me to build a relay. Commander difficulty, half of squad has lasers, no upgraded armor, 3rd skill level, one officer. How the hell can you do this with no casualties? There were 20 regular troops, with multiple serpents, mutons, sectoids, rocketeers, lancers, etc, ....but then even before I had reached the final bridge,...

Glass cutter would be awesome. Probably not modable though. Take one inventory slot, but cost no actions.

New game in 1.1, there are 7 rookies in my roster with aim below 60! argh! Anyone tried fiddling with this? Is this all in toolbox? I know there are stat swapping mechanisms in NCE, so that theoretically there should be some balance for bad aim, but imo a good offense is far, far better than a good ...

If you used grenades/rockets, the noise can pull them in. Apparently they can hear stuff. You can use this to decoy them to other areas of map.
