Re: Covering Fire as a lvl 1 Offensive AWC perk
The PCS for Overwatch thresholds is a horrid, ugly kludge; different OW commands keyed to the threshold%s should be the baseline.
Also yeah, early Covering Fire without any supporting perks is crap.

Re: Why I stopped LW2 - but thanks for everything
Stealth is pretty indispensable, at least early on, for Legend; those reinforcements get real insane real fast. Really wish there were secondary objectives like a com relays/towers you could hack or destroy to substantially delay them. Take out their local power grid/comms to isolate, then throw dow...

Re: [General Feedback] Strategic layer and class balance
Definitely think Psi Ops shouldn't exist as a class so much as an overlay for existing soldiers, balanced by a combination of strategic level fatigue time that increments whenever a psi power is used in proportion to the power of that psychic ability, the cooldown on those powers, and needing to occ...

Re: Bug? Hunker Works Against Melee?
At best you might have Hunker to give you a slight bonus to defense/dodge if you abstract the assumption that it represents a dynamic mode of defensive preparation/behaviour, but as stated, it should have nowhere near the impact that it does. It would make sense for the bonus to diminish with each ...

Re: Bug? Hunker Works Against Melee?
I already adressed all of it. You spend an action point to perform a defensive maneuver - for stun lancers, you just catch the baton with your boots - no way a set-to-incapacitate tazer arcs through the sole. On that note, a set-to-kill tazer wouldn't ark either, since like right now you can go and...

Re: Bug? Hunker Works Against Melee?
If the wording of my explanation is too complicated, you can do a fun little experiment - task someone to lay on the floor and parry with their feet, and try to strike him with a stick about an arm's length. People have had an actual need to perform this task for millenia, and this is how spears we...

Re: Bug? Hunker Works Against Melee?
Not seeing the issue in a realistic manner. Someone who is "hunkered down" has a much lower profile than someone standing upright, which means there is less space to make contact during an attempted action. "He ducked" is a pretty common occurrence in a fight, and there have bee...

Iron Curtain Bugged?
Two 100% shots missed on flanked Mutons out of cover that was destroyed in the same turn; perhaps the game still thought they had cover for the purposes of Iron Curtain?

Having dodge increment with empty inventory slots and lighter weapons alongside mobility might also be an idea.

Re: Make Single Target Suppression Useful vs Area Suppression?
It also won't fire on any other target potentially depleting ammunition before the main target moves. Suppression is available to several other classes, any bonuses it gains directly devalue the Gunner's innate ability. They're both super situational and marginal benefits, especially when you build...

Make Single Target Suppression Useful vs Area Suppression?
Would be nice if single target Suppression had some premium vs area Suppression to make it at least situationally useful by comparison, even if only for the Gunner/heavy weapons; giving the suppressing target Covering Fire + Cool Under Pressure vs the suppressed target for example (if the target tri...

Dodge/Graze Rework Proposal
It would be nice to have more ways to manipulate Dodge and Glance which can be both absolutely frustrating and hard to influence (yes I'm aware that there's a couple of rare ways to do so, and that guaranteed damage/hits help). Suggestions for intuitive and rational ways of letting the player deal w...

Bug? Hunker Works Against Melee?
Is Hunker intended to work against melee, including melee that flanks and doesn't attack through cover? This doesn't seem to make any sense as Hunker = huddling down/going to ground and conforming to your cover to avoid gunfire as opposed to bracing yourself for being attacked in melee. If anything ...

Re: Bug? Hunker Works Against Melee?
If you're using the hunker down mod, it allows hunkering (read cowering) in the open so you aren't completely screwed if an archer mech blows up your cover. Not the case. Ah... I thought it did... On the other hand... I do on occasion lose track of which mods I've further modified that's probably t...

Re: Bug? Hunker Works Against Melee?
Did you have patch 1.1 installed when you experienced this? Patch 1.1 fixes a lot of issues with Hunker, like Hunker's defense bonus applying in literally EVERY situation, not just against ranged attacks that aren't flanking the hunkered unit. Yes, per gunshine and admo, Hunker bonuses work against...

Re: Advent Civil Protection Unit?
I think the key difference is that totalitarian regimes on present day Earth have to brainwash people into thinking that living there is a good idea, and they have to keep people from leaving. ADVENT is actually the best place on Earth. It's the only civilization left. You can scrounge around in th...

Re: Advent Civil Protection Unit?

Re: Advent Civil Protection Unit?
ADVENT troopers. Obey or die. If they shoot you, you were a terrorist. Bradford says it himself that Stun Lancers were peacekeepers in the early days, but they don't bother anymore. They have no reason to care. The remaining human population is dependant on them, and they're melting them all down i...
