If you are using the Nexus, yes, remove and replace the entire folder.

Yeah, the new Iron Skin seems like garbage because the melee AI on Stunlancers doesn't just beeline the closest thing like a Chryssalid, they look for vulnerable targets. Chryssies are too uncommon and easy to kill to tech against, IMO.

Vanilla cheats in your favor sometimes. Long War doesn't. In order to get a different result from save scumming you need to take your actions in a different order so that the seed numbers are used for different results. The game is not meant to be save scummed, which is why Firaxis used a fixed seed...

Current metagame very often means that summoning pods to the player will make the mission much easier for the player. Instead of harder (and the root of this problem is the fact that it's extremely favorable to activate enemies on their own turn rather than yours, even with "yellow alert"...
